Conveyor Systems

Fenner’s ECS division engineers and installs safe, dependable and efficient conveyor solutions which include conveyor belting and related components (e.g. pulleys and drive systems) alongside a comprehensive range of conveyor services such as maintenance and installation. Fenner conveyor solutions are adapted to suit specific operating environments (whether above or below ground) and the materials being handled, which include coal, hard rock ores (such as iron or copper), other minerals, concrete, aggregates, forest products and grain.

ECS supplies its customers from its locations across the world with particular strengths in North America and Australia and developing positions in Asia, Africa, South America and the Middle East.

Upstream Oil & Gas

Oil and gas exploration, development and extraction present some of the most extreme temperatures and pressures, often in highly-corrosive and abrasive environments.

CDI Energy Products, part of Fenner’s AEP division, manufactures and designs custom seals and other components for all these applications in both the conventional and unconventional parts of the oil & gas industry. AIP and Mandals supply consumable components used in hydraulic fracturing.

Hydraulic Cylinders

Hydraulic cylinders lift, steer, reach, tilt and stabilise equipment including excavators, tipper trucks, cranes, fork lifts and longwall roof supports for equipment used in construction, agriculture and mining and for on/off-highway vehicles.

Hallite, part of Fenner’s AEP division, provides high- specification seals which are performance-critical components of the hydraulic cylinders used in these applications.

Diesel Engines

On the road or at sea, moving ground or deep beneath it, high-performance diesel engines provide power to trucks, ships, construction equipment, mining machinery, electricity generation systems and more. Within AEP, James Dawson designs and supplies specialist hoses which are capable of transmitting coolant, air charge and exhaust gases at high temperatures and pressures.

Medical Devices

Within Fenner’s AEP division, there are three medical businesses. Secant Group and supply biomedical structures and minimally invasive single-use devices for use in the areas of cardiovascular, neurovascular, orthopedics, urology and regenerative medicine. Charter Medical, acquired in 2015, produces assemblies and containers used in biological fluid handling and in a range of life science applications including biopharmaceutical manufacturing and cellular therapy.

In addition, AIP uses its advanced manufacturing techniques to supply complex surgical devices.

Building on its expertise in polymeric materials, Fenner’s AEP division designs, engineers and manufactures thermoplastic and elastomeric components that meet the precision and performance required for the most sophisticated scientific and digital imaging equipment, including chromatographs, centrifuges and even surgical robots.

Aerospace

Aerospace manufacturers need lightweight, high-strength materials and engineered solutions to solve critical challenges. Drawing on its expertise in advanced polymeric materials and high-end manufacturing capabilities, Fenner’s AEP division supplies products which are used in propulsion, landing, electronic and other systems; these products include seals, bearings, bushings, electrical connectors, PTFE insulation, antenna housing, radar domes and structural members.

Package Handling

Across its businesses, Fenner has an extensive range of light-weight belting, keyless bushes, tensioners, pulleys, idlers and guides for use in package handling systems. All these products have proven track records of decreasing customers’ maintenance downtime and improving efficiency.

Climate Control

Within AEP, Fenner supplies a range factory-installed or aftermarket polymer components for HVAC apparatus, which are designed and proven to out-perform traditional products, with the effect of increasing reliability of the equipment while reducing on-site maintenance time and lowering spare part inventory requirements.
